The Matador Singles Club $45 a Year, a 7-inch Every Other Month...

How many labels do you absolutely love and trust, to the point that you're willing to blindly pay for their recommendations?  It's a question now being tested: just this morning, Matador Records launched its "Singles Going Home Alone" club, a $45-a-year service that delivers a 7" single to your door every other month.
This is getting ramped for a 2012 start, and the label is currently only revealing the titles of the first three titles.  The rest are 'TBA,' meaning, you're gonna have to trust your tastemaker friend on this one.  "You sign up for the year and it's a surprise as the releases come," Matador Promotions & Label Coordinator Stuart Davie told Digital Music News this morning.
Essentially, each 7" is $5, with a $15 shipping fee tacked on for the year.  That equals $45 in the US, but $55 for Canadians and $70 for anyone outside of North America.

Matador is also tossing another secret item, a tote bag, and 10 percent off all Matador Store purchases for the year.  And, if you join mid-2012, you get all of the singles already received in a lump.
Good deal?
